MOD Childcare Voucher Scheme - deadline extended!




Following a parliamentary debate on 13 March 2018, Damian Hinds, Education Secretary, announced that the deadline for new participants signing up for childcare vouchers would be extended for six months (until October 2018).

In September 2017, the UK Government introduced a new Tax-Free Childcare (TFC) scheme to replace all salary sacrifice schemes introduced from 1989.

The new closure date is now 5 October 2018. We expect that the deadline for new applicants will be the end of August but we will release further details in due course.

Current members of the Childcare Voucher scheme can remain in the scheme and continue to use Childcare Vouchers for as long as the MOD, as the legal employer, continues to offer the scheme.
